Congratulations

Amelie Matthews in Year 11 WON the Open Championship vocal section of the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod.

AMEB Exams

On Friday 2 June the Music Building was abuzz with AMEB exams from woodwind, piano, voice and strings. I was thrilled to speak to the girls either before they entered, or after they had completed their exams and thankfully, not one tear was shed. The girls were well prepared and, no matter the result, they all gave it their best shot.

Exams are an experience to learn and they should never be something to define a child’s ability. It is a small moment in time, and the students should be applauded for their preparation, as well as their commitment to their instrument. Congratulations to them all.

All girls are to wear BLACK pants, their black music shirts AND their performance jackets. If you are new to an ensemble, please email Gladys on musicadmin@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au to secure your uniform.

Performance Uniforms

We are in the process of updating the current red music performance jacket. I will be sending out a google form soon so that you and your daughters can make the selection. Basically, the jackets will be a choice of black with red piping OR red with black piping. The reason for the change is based around style and allowing the girls some choice in what they wear. There will also be black pants as part of the uniform, which all girls must wear. This will all be available from 2024.
