Final information: Mother’s Day Morning Tea
With our Mother’s Day Morning Tea only one sleep away, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Pymble for what is traditionally one of the College’s biggest events of the year.
Getting to Mother’s Day Morning Tea
The event will start at 10.15am and conclude at 11.15am, and we are expecting approximately 750 parents and carers in attendance. Parking will be extremely limited, and we expect there to be heavy traffic in the surrounding streets, so we strongly suggest that you catch the train to Pymble Station from where the College is a short five-minute walk away.
If you do wish to drive, please note that Gate 1 will be closed from 9.00am for safety reasons. The only vehicular access to the College will be via Gate 3, however Centenary Car Park will have very limited car spots available. Sufferance Gate (at Gate 1) and Grey House Walk will also be open should you wish to park your car locally and walk.
Student Attendance
Junior School students will be ushered up to Main Oval at 10.15am by staff and will be taken back to class by their teachers at 11.00am.
Secondary School students will arrive at 10.20am for the duration of their morning tea break.
How to get your food
Parents will be directed to the parent stalls to collect their food. Please note that there is also a separate stall for those with special dietary requirements.
When students arrive, they will be directed by year group to receive their morning tea and then you and your daughter will be able to enjoy your morning together on the oval.
Donations
All donations from tomorrow will be split evenly between The Wayside Chapel and Costumes for Cancer. There will be donation buckets located at the parent refreshment stalls, and we will be very grateful to all those who can contribute a monetary donation to help these two great causes.
Entertainment
While you and your daughter are enjoying morning tea, you will be treated to some special live performances from the Junior School Capella Singers, Junior Choir, Year 8 Elective Music and our Stage Band, all of whom have been practicing hard to put on an entertaining show for all of Pymble’s special mums.
Housekeeping
- The closest bathrooms (male and female) are located at the Gillian Moore Centre for Performing Arts (GMCPA).
- In the unlikely event of an emergency, College staff will activate our Emergency Response Plan.
Once again, thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
