From the Senior School

As we reach the halfway point of the term, it’s a good time to check in on your daughter’s wellbeing and ensure they are balancing their academic commitments with self-care. Our Senior girls are navigating a particularly intense period in their academic journey. We have welcomed Year 12 back from their HSC Trial examinations, and they are now resuming their normal class schedule. Our dedicated teachers are busily marking papers and providing invaluable feedback on areas for improvement.

Over the next few weeks, students will receive these suggestions, and it is crucial that they carefully review them and seek clarification on any concepts or skills as needed. Keeping these results in perspective can be challenging but is necessary for implementing effective strategies for improvement. Reflecting on the strategies they used to prepare for their Trials and making any necessary adjustments as they head into the HSC exams can be highly beneficial.

During this period, our girls will also receive more detailed guidance from Mrs Stanfield, their Compass teachers and subject teachers. If any concerns arise, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the relevant staff member for support.

Throughout the examinations, our girls were well supported by the Curriculum and Senior School teams. I would especially like to acknowledge the tremendous work of Mrs Stanfield and Mrs Anthea Wawryka, who led this process and provided unwavering support to the girls, as well as your Heads of Year, Mrs Michie and Mr Stern.
