Support for Earthquake victims
It was remiss of me in last week’s newsletter to not acknowledge our wonderful team of students, parents and staff who manned the barbeques, and craft tables, raising funds to support the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria. The food provided was delicious, and we also enjoyed some craft activities and a fantastic belly dancer. The team raised over $1500 for this very worthy cause.
Year 5 / Year 11 Connections
For the last term, Year 11 students and their Compass teachers have been sharing stories about growing up, taking on challenges and learning about yourself. The students have also created a personal vision board, which represents aspects of themselves and their interests. This week, the Year 11 students worked with a Year 5 buddy to share their stories with their younger peers – providing fine role models and friendships for each other. As our Year 11s work towards finishing school and our Year 5s work towards completing Junior school we are aiming to develop and deepen the connections between these two groups to act as ‘big sisters’ and ‘younger sisters’ to each other, building connections and community.

Pymble Knox Connections
Our Pymble Knox Connections group of Year 11 students met again last night for a movie and board games afternoon. Lots of fun was had by all and it is really wonderful to see new friendships being formed. Many thanks to all involved, including the supervising staff from both schools, who bring a lovely sense of open-mindedness and friendship to our meetings.
