From the Middle School

I trust that everyone had a wonderful Easter break with family and friends. I know our Year 7s were very much looking forward to some down time following on from a very busy term and a week at Vision Valley. Congratulations to all the Year 7 students who received an individualised Camp Award acknowledging their positive contribution to our time at Vision Valley. On reflection, there were so many girls who deserved recognition for the way they stepped up to challenges and embraced opportunities.

With only one week of Term 1 to go, we look forward to a well deserved longer holiday at the end of Week 11. The Learning Discussions are being finalised and teachers are keen to share celebrations and feedback on your daughter’s progress within their subject across this term.

This week in Middle School we are locking in times to interview our prospective Year 7 Leaders. We have been inundated with applications of a high quality and look forward to the next part of the process. Those students who have been shortlisted for interview will receive an email this week.

Jacaranda Awards

During our year assemblies on Tuesday our Heads of Year had the pleasure of acknowledging and honouring the students who were selected by their Compass teachers to receive the Jacaranda Award for Term 1. It is empowering to share with all the girls the actions demonstrated by individuals warranting their award. Winter Uniform – Term 2

A reminder to all Middle School students that we will commence Term 2 in full winter uniform. Can we please ask that you ensure your daughters have the correct items ready to start the term.

Lockers – Term 2

During the term break building works will continue in and around the college. The current Year 7 lockers, located in the Navy Locker Room will be relocated. Specific information pertaining to this will be shared with the girls in the coming week.
