From the Middle School
This week in Middle School the girls have been lapping up the warm weather and enjoying games on Gloucester Lawn. Thank you to our outstanding Year 8 Gloucester Gathering Leaders Serena Cummings, Isabelle Port and Chloe Wei, who continue to demonstrate commitment and creativity across activities. Next week we’re hoping and praying that the sunshine continues for our Year 8 Outdoor Education program.
The girls are getting excited for the shift in routine and the challenges that lie ahead across this diverse schedule. Sommerset will be facilitating the activities with the support of our Pymble staff. Thank you in advance to all of the teachers who will be accompanying the girls. We acknowledge the sacrifice you are making in taking time away from family to ensure the success of the program. Year 8 students are required to be on James Kelso Field from 8.15am for roll call.
During assembly on Thursday, Year 7 were introduced to the Leadership process for 2024. All the information is available on the College’s Leadership website. We look forward to receiving student applications by the end of term, with student shortlisted for interview commencing Term 4. Year 8 will be invited to apply for Year 9 2024 positions shortly.
At present my office is slowly filling up with baskets for the Garden Party. Thank you to the girls and their families for donations received so far. Obviously next week will be a very productive time for baskets and wrapping. Can I please remind our Year 8 girls that we would appreciate your baskets to be delivered by tomorrow Friday 8/9 as you are on camp next week. That said, we will also graciously receive any extra baskets on the Saturday morning of Graden Party. Girls have been invited to volunteer for a timeslot on our Basket Stall where their enthusiasm will be most welcome.

Congratulations to the Knox Pymble Swim Club who won the NSW State Swimming Championships. Special congratulations goes to Mia Chen (Year 7) who won first place in her race.

Eliza Lawton (Year 7) and Gemma Dixon (Year 7) competed at the National Cross-Country competition. Eliza finished first place in the under 14s category. Well done, Eliza and Gemma!
