Upcoming Events

Pymble community events can be found in the MyPymble app under the Calendar tab. Parents are encouraged to check the app regularly to keep up to date with all College events. There are plenty of opportunities to meet other parents and connect with staff through our community events which you can find on the app and in the calendar below.

This week our Enrolments team looks forward to visiting Orange and hosting the Pymble in Orange event with current and prospective boarding families.

Father’s Day

On Friday last week Fathers and father figures joined us on campus to celebrate Father’s Day with their daughters. After 3,000 sausages were sizzled, the girls had an opportunity to spend time with their dads on Main Oval. We would like to thank our wonderful parent volunteers that cooked and served lunch, line managed and marshalled eager kids from Kindergarten to Year 12. We hope all our Pymble dads had a wonderful weekend with their families celebrating Father’s Day.

Garden Party

The excitement is building in the lead up to Garden Party 2023! There are numerous ways you can get involved in the biggest event on the Pymble community calendar. Ride Wristbands are available here at the pre-event price of $35.00 until Thursday 14 September. This year we have a great selection of ten rides that will entertain children of all ages, including the Teacups, Pirate Ship, the Giant Slide and Turbo Flyers as well as the Dragon Wagon Roller Coaster, Storm and the Riptide.

For all the bakers, we are seeking homemade treats such as cakes, cupcakes, slices, lolly bags or anything that can be sold at a cake stall. You can sign up to donate cakes or baked goods here.

Cakes and baked goods can be dropped off at the stall in the foyer of the Gillian Moore Centre for Performing Arts (GMCPA) on the day of the Garden Party (preferred) from 7.30am. Alternatively, they can be delivered to the Junior or Middle School offices or dropped off at Flagpole Lawn, Lower Road or Centenary Car Park car lines between 7.45am and 8.30am on Friday 15 September.

Volunteering on a stall for an hour or so is also a great way to connect with other parents and even some of our executive staff. The following stalls need a few spare hands;

Toy Stall

Second-Hand Uniform Stall

PPA Barbecue

Cake Stall

A real hit from last year’s Garden Party is the Fun Dive activity (tickets available here). If you’re looking for a thrill at just want to try your hand at learning a new skill, you can sign up for this event taking place in the afternoon at the Braith Williams Aquatic and Fitness Centre.

Led by Chris Lang, Pymble’s Head Coach of Diving, Fun Dive will give you the rare opportunity to learn the principles of diving, participate in a session guided by an expert coach and truly understand the courage involved in this fantastic sport. The kids’ session runs from 1.15pm to 2.00pm with the adult’s session taking place from 2.15pm to 3.00pm.

Foundation Ball

The Pymble Foundation is holding its inaugural Gala Ball on Saturday 14 October this year. Everyone is invited to come along to enjoy a night of captivating entertainment, great food and friendship whilst raising money for our bursary program and the College’s masterplan projects. Click here to find out more about the Pymble Foundation and how it is working to support the community.

We are aware there are parents who would like to attend and sit on a table with parents from their year group. If you are interested in sitting on a table for your year group, but are unsure how to go about this please contact your year group co-ordinator or communityengagement@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au

Please know that there is no expectation of donations or bidding on auctions, this is completely up to you and your family. As well as the raffles and auctions, there is some fantastic entertainment lined up and we know you will enjoy spending time with fellow Pymble parents.

Click here to find out more and book your tickets.

We look forward to celebrating all things Pymble with you on the night.
