Commonwealth Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships 2024

Renee Leung (Year 11) and Rianne Leung (Year 8) travelled to Christchurch, New Zealand to represent Australia in the Commonwealth Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships 2024 held from Friday 12 to Friday 19 July 2024.

Congratulations to Renee and Rianne, both achieving a gold medal placing in the Team Event in the Junior Women’s Foil. Rianne was awarded a Silver and Renee placed 8th in the Cadet Women’s Foil.

The Commonwealth Championship also marked the first time Australia broke England’s winning streak and for the first time in history, received the award for the Nation with the best overall result! We are Pymble proud of you both, for your part in this result.

Australian Youth and Cadet Championships 2024

Renee Leung (Year 11) and Rianne Leung (Year 8) also competed earlier in the month at the Australian Youth and Cadet Championships 2024. Congratulations to both students representing Australia with brilliant results. Renee won the Cadet National Title, with Rianne claiming the Bronze Medal. Rianne also achieved a Bronze Medal for the Youth Women’s Foil Championship. Well done!
