Fencing

Rianne Leung (Year 7) entered four Fencing competition events at the Australian Fencing Federation between Friday 4 February to Sunday 6 February in Melbourne.  They are the individual and team foil events of the Australian Youth Circuit #1 (Under 15) and the National Junior Championships (under 20). Rianne was champion in both the individual and team events of the Australian Youth Circuit #1, while finishing 2nd in the individual event of the National Junior Championships. Congratulations Rianne on an extremely successful weekend!

Renee Leung (Year 10) entered the individual and team foil events of the National Junior Championships held in Melbourne the same weekend.  Renee finished 8th in the individual event and 2nd in the team event together with Rianne on the team.

Whilst we don’t train for foil here at Pymble it is fantastic to see the talent of our fencers shine through training with our affiliated club Scherma who trains on campus on a Saturday afternoon.
