Duke of Edinburgh

Welcome to 2024! We hope you enjoyed a well-deserved and rejuvenating break.

As we navigate through the year, we want to ensure you are aware of an extraordinary opportunity for personal growth and adventure – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program is a globally recognised initiative designed to challenge and inspire young individuals. It’s not just an award; it’s a transformative journey encompassing Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Adventurous Journey components. Here’s a quick refresher on what each aspect involves:

Volunteering: Give back to the community by dedicating time and skills to a cause you care about. Whether you choose to support local charities, community events, or assist your peers, your contribution makes a meaningful impact.

Physical: Embrace a healthier lifestyle by engaging in physical activities that resonate with you. From team sports to personal fitness goals, this component encourages you to prioritise your well-being and set achievable targets.

Skills: Cultivate a new skill or refine an existing one. Learn a musical instrument, pick up a new language, or master a craft – the possibilities are limitless. The journey of skill development is as rewarding as the skill itself.

Adventurous Journey: Embark on an unforgettable outdoor expedition with your peers. Whether it’s a hiking trip, camping adventure, or any challenging expedition, this component promotes teamwork, resilience, and the thrill of exploration.

Participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program not only adds a prestigious achievement to your profile but also equips you with crucial life skills, boosts your self-confidence, and creates enduring memories with friends.

If your child hasn’t registered for the program yet, now is the ideal time to take that leap. This program is open to all students aged 14 and over.

Seize the opportunity to challenge yourself, uncover your potential, and make a positive impact. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program eagerly awaits your participation – let the adventure unfold!
