All Schools Diving 2023
On Thursday 1 and Friday 2 June, the All-Schools Diving Championships and SSA Australia trials were held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. This is the final event in the School Pathways for CIS, CHS and CCC schools and a trial for the NSW School Sport Australia team.
The level of competition across all sectors this year was outstanding, and the event was a spectacular display of competitive diving.
Unfortunately, two of our Pymble team were forced to withdraw from All Schools due to illness.
Congratulations to our divers Angela Xenofontos (Year 9), Méa Shires (Year 9) and Sasha Dubrovina (Year 7) who competed in this event and a particular congratulations to Angela and Sasha who medalled in their individual events.
The results were:
Angela Xenofontos (Year 9) – 2nd 15 Years Girls Springboard and selected in NSW SSA team.
Méa Shires (Year 9) – 4th 14 Years Girls Springboard and 5th 12 to 14 Girls Platform
Sasha Dubrovina (Year 7) – 3rd 12 Years Girls Springboard
Following the combined point score from all events, CIS were the winning association followed by CCC 2nd and CHS 3rd, which demonstrates the depth of diving in the Independent schools.
Congratulations to our Pymble divers selected in the SSA Team to compete in Sydney in August
Angela Xenofontos (Year 9), Emily Long (Year 4) and Zara Ware (Year 4). This is an outstanding achievement for our Pymble divers and we wish them every success.
