Dance
Pymble Dance recently competed at Extreme Eisteddfod on Sunday 18 June.
Both our Junior and Secondary dancers showcased their talents and represented Pymble Ladies’ College with grace and excellence.
The Extreme Eisteddfod provided an opportunity for our students to witness the incredible talent and passion from all schools, and it was inspiring to see such a high level of skill and dedication within the dance community. First and foremost, we want to express how proud we are of our girls’ outstanding performances. Not only did they deliver captivating routines, but they also displayed exceptional sportsmanship throughout the competition.
We are delighted to announce that our Junior troupes achieved remarkable success at the competition. They secured a double win with a first place in both the Jazz and Lyrical categories. It was a delight to witness the sheer joy and happiness radiating from our Junior dancers. Their passion for dance was evident in every move they made on stage. It was a delight to see their beaming smiles, boundless energy, and genuine love for what they do.
In the High School Jazz Section, Our Jazz White team achieved remarkable success, securing first place in their section. Additionally, we are thrilled to recognise the achievements of our Contemporary Teams. All groups showcased their artistic expression and versatility, and Contemporary White received second place, and our Navy and Scarlet teams were rewarded Highly commended. Their emotional storytelling and seamless execution captivated the judges and left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the family and friends who came out to support our girls. Your presence and encouragement truly made a difference and contributed to the positive and energetic atmosphere at the event. We would also like to acknowledge the presence and support of our leaders. Thank you to Mrs Brown, Head of Junior School, and Mr Griffiths, Head of Performing Arts, for cheering on our dancers and for your support.
Lastly, we want to again express our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful staff who worked tirelessly to prepare our dancers for this competition, even with last minute reblocks. Their expertise, guidance, and passion for dance have played an integral role in shaping our girls into the talented performers they are today.
