National Cross Country Championships – Ballarat
Australia’s best Cross Country runners converged on Ballarat for a true test of strength and spirit. The course had it all – mud pits, hills and tree logs to jump over, providing a spectacular challenge for athletes.
Our girls rose to the occasion with grit, determination and plenty of Pymble pride. Congratulations to the following girls: Siena Cassidy (Year 4), Charlie Slater (Year 8), Gemma Dixon (Year 9), Rachel Schwulst (Year 11), Grace Beck (Year 11), Mia Croker (Year 12) and our 2025 captain, Sophia Slater (Year 12).
Special mentions to:
Siena – In her first ever national Cross Country event, she took on the challenges brilliantly finishing twenty second.
Rachel – A huge effort from Rachel, who competed at igsa Athletics on the Friday, then flew to Melbourne that night to back up the next day at nationals.
Grace – Not only did Grace take on the Cross Country, but she backed up on the Sunday at the Australian Road Walking Championships, claiming an impressive silver medal in the u18 5km walk.
We are so proud of these girls. Their performances reflect not just talent, but resilience and determination against the toughest competition and conditions in the country.
