Round 1 – Pymble 9 Junior First Match Recap
The Junior Firsts kicked off their season with an impressive win over Monte. The girls showcased excellent court awareness, consistently spacing the floor and creating plenty of opportunities to drive to the hoop. Every player contributed defensively, applying relentless pressure on the ball and forcing turnovers, which proved vital in building a strong lead during the second half. It was a fantastic team effort, with every member making valuable contributions on Saturday. Pymble 9s communication and support for one another on the court demonstrated a real sense of teamwork. Well done, girls!
Season Shoutouts
Season shoutouts are designed to recognise students who have gone above and beyond and celebrate a player’s effort, improvement, or achievements throughout the season.
The first week of season shoutouts go to Claire Murphy (Year 11), Mei Mei Jiang (Year 11), and Arin Yoon (Year 10) who all stepped up to play in the Senior First team on Saturday. These students stepped onto the court with courage, confidence and quickly adapting to the intensity of the senior first game play.
Congratulations to those girls and to Pymble 9 on a fantastic weekend of Igsa basketball.
