IPSHA Basketball – Round 1, Saturday 19 October

Team of the Week: Pymble 2

Pymble 2 had a great game on the weekend and had a well-deserved nail-biting win against Abbotsleigh in the last few minutes of the match. Entering the fourth quarter the girls were down, they kept their composure and intensity and worked together as a team to secure the win, 30 to 28. Alison Kok’s (Year 6) defence and passing along with Chelsea Wang’s (Year 6) full court layups were vital in the team’s success on the weekend. All team members of Pymble 2 contributed energy and effort both on and off the court. Pymble 2 have shown great skill in their first match, we look forward to the rest of the season where students will continue to develop their skills individually and as a team.

A special shout out to Pymble 11 who embodied the Pymble sport values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and team spirit. The girls faced a tough match, however continued to cheer and support each other both on and off the court regardless of the outcome of the match.

Well done to all students who participated in the first round of IPSHA basketball for 2024, we look forward to a fantastic season.
