It was great to see our Pymble athletes in action over the weekend. Some participated in the State Little A’s relays at Homebush, while others made the journey to Mingara on the Central Coast for the ANSW Treloar Shield competition.
For our Pymble athletes, Sybella Warton (Year 10), Georgia Phillips (Year 11) and Grace Townsend (Year 10), the racing experience serves as valuable preparation as they gear up for National Championships just a few weeks away.
At the State Little A’s event on the weekend, Eliza Lawton (Year 7) was awarded a certificate for her remarkable achievement last season of the Australian Best Performance in the 1500m. Her time of 4.31.08 is an exceptional time for any Secondary student but is truly remarkable for a 12 year old at the time of the race.
Several of our Pymble distance athletes are competing in the NSW Miler’s Meet this week in the 800m, 1500m and 2km Steeplechase. It’s always a great event running under lights. Good luck to all athletes.
Even as we approach the year’s end, maintaining our training momentum is crucial. Continuing with consistent training not only serves as excellent preparation for upcoming events, but also ensures we sustain both speed and fitness levels. This commitment will undoubtedly set all athletes up for a strong start to 2024.
