Athletics and Cross Country
56 of our Pymble athletes had a very early, chilly start on Friday 12 May, travelling to beautiful Frensham, Mittagong to compete at the annual igsa Cross Country Carnival.
Having won this event in 2022, our athletes were well prepared with consistent training under their belts, injury-free and eager to compete.
Multiple highlights of the day were team results, which displayed depth across multiple age groups. Congratulations to 16 years, 17 years and 18 years age groups for taking out the gold medal and to our 12 years and 14 years for coming away with a silver medal.
A special mention to our individual gold medals awarded to Eliza Lawton (Year 7) (13 Years) and Abigail Ballhausen (Year 12) (17 years) and individual bronze medals which were awarded to Gemma Dixon (Year 7) (13 years) and Georgia Phillips (Year 11) (17 years).
Congratulations to all of our competitors, you performed outstandingly, and we are all so very proud of you. Pymble won by over 100 points – what a result!
Our top athletes will now prepare for NSWCIS Cross Country which will take place on Thursday 8 June.
We wish all our athletes the best of luck.
