Athletics

Over two weekends in the holidays, 20 Pymble athletes competed at the NSW All Schools Track and Field Championships. Our athletes came away with an amazing 21 medals, more than any other Girls’ school in the state. Nine of our Pymble athletes have been selected in the NSW Team to compete at the Australian All Schools Championships in Perth in December. Seven students also recorded top eight performances.

Congratulations to all athletes who competed over the two weekends. A big thank you to our coaches, Katie Edwards and Adam Raw who supported our students over the championships.

The NSW Schools Team Challenge will be held on Wednesday 18 October. This a fantastic team event with Pymble entering four teams across three divisions. Students will travel by bus from the College as a team and we welcome any parents or carers who would like to come out and support Team Pymble.

Saturday 14 October is the start of the summer competition and will be held at Sydney Olympic Park. Any student registered can compete – please register at www.nswathletics.org.au.  I strongly recommend students check the events on offer (400m hurdles, 200m hurdles, 100m, 400m, 1500m, High jump and Discus) for more competition practice.
