What a week of emotions and happiness as we farewell our fantastic Year 12 students. Last Friday, the students who have attended Pymble since the old Prep School went down and celebrated with a special assembly – performing a lovely version of ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go’ for our students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2. They also presented the younger girls with special bookmarks they had designed for the occasion.

We have enjoyed some down time with each other at Clontarf at the picnic, where the girls signed each other’s books, had a dip in the coolish ocean and generally just hung out together.

The Secondary School farewelled the students at the Final Combined Assembly, with a special guest performance from the Kindergarten girls! They brought quite a few tears to the eyes in the audience, as the Year 12s reminisced about how quickly their school days have past. Year 12 families participated in our Honouring Ceremony, which recognises the character of each of our Year 12s. In the afternoon, the Year 12 students said their many thank yous to the staff who have assisted them and enjoyed some fun videos from the staff, before counting down to their last ever final bell of the day.

On behalf of all the staff at Pymble, I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the Year 12s and wish them all the very best as they leave – they have been final role models for compassion, good sense, friendship and good humour. As this goes to print, we are still to enjoy our Year 12 Speech Day, Final Chapel Service and Valedictory Dinner.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Senior School families all the best for a restful and peaceful Term break. For those who are touring around, safe travels.
