Upcoming Events
Academic and social events on the Pymble calendar can be viewed in the MyPymble app under the calendar tab. We strongly encourage parents to download the app and check it regularly to stay up to date with upcoming opportunities to connect with other parents and staff at the College. This week we are excited to welcome all community members and their families, as well as the general public, onto the College campus as we host our annual Garden Party. We expect up to 10,000 people to pass through our gates on Saturday!

Garden Party – Last-minute reminders
This year’s Garden Party promises to be our biggest and best one yet. There are plenty of new rides and activities to entertain the kids with familiar favourites returning to round out a huge day of entertainment for the whole family.
While you’re enjoying your day, please come and visit us at the Foundation Gala Ball Stand and learn more about the important programs we are raising money to support. You will also be able to purchase tickets to our exciting raffle which will be drawn at the Gala Ball on Saturday 14 October. The raffle is open to all in the community with the major prize of a fabulous jet ski!
A few last-minute reminders:
- A note to our bakers: Friday and Saturday are predicted to be very warm. If you are dropping off baked goods that are dressed in buttercream, we suggest dropping them off on the morning of Garden Party (Saturday) instead of Friday afternoon as we will not be able to refrigerate them on Friday evening.
- Parking will be scarce as the campus is closed to traffic on the day. We suggest leaving the car at home and catching the train to Pymble Station from where the College is a short five-minute walk away.
- No dogs are allowed on campus on the day of Garden Party (assistance dogs excepted). We do have a range of animals onsite for various activities (e.g., sheep shearing, petting zoo and pony rides) and for their wellbeing we need to keep the grounds free of domestic pets.
- Unlimited Ride Wristbands sold at a discounted rate of $35.00 close tonight and will be available for purchase at Garden Party for $40.00. To purchase ride wristbands ahead of time, please click here.
- The weather outlook for Saturday is very warm with a top of 32 degrees. Please remember to wear sunscreen and a hat. Hats will be available for purchase at the Information Stall. We will also have a range of parasols available and sunscreen for those who forget. There will be plenty of water available to purchase on the day
- A couple of stalls still require volunteers. If you have an hour to spare, volunteering at a stall is a great way to connect with other parents and staff. You can sign up at the links below;
- Toy Stall
- PPA Barbecue
- Farmyard Fun (K to 2)
- Lucky Prizes (Year 5)
- Ping Pong Bounce (Year 4)
- Butterfly Burst (Year 3)
- Lollipop Tree & Mini Golf (Year 6)
Pymble in Orange
Our Enrolments team held an event in Orange last week, attended by Head of Upper School, Tom Riley, Head of Boarding, Carolyn Burgess, our Enrolments representative, Jackie Garment, and student families both past and present. The venue for the evening was Printhie Wines, owned and managed by an ex-Pymble family (Swift). It was an opportunity for families new and old to connect in the shared experience our College offers. The evening was filled with good food and wine and plenty of laughter, with a special mention to the Class of 1958 who attended in vast numbers.
Year 12 Farewell
Next week marks not only the end of Term 3 but the culmination of our Year 12 girls’ schooling. Each year we have several traditions that see out the students’ time at Pymble, starting with the Final Countdown next Thursday with Speech Day, the Farewell Morning Tea and dove ceremony, as well as the Valedictory Dinner. We are always delighted to see our girls take their first steps towards their future as they leave our campus to study for their final exams, and we want to wish them all the best for their farewell events next week. We look forward to the many ways we will watch you change the world in years to come.
