CIS Grand Final Match Report by Football Captain, Kaitlyn Chan (Year 12)
I would like to commend every member who’s been a part of the CIS Football team, it was an incredible season by our Pymble footballers!
The result didn’t favour our way, but as my last game playing in this competition, I must say it was an honour to play with everyone one last time.
We started off in a strong position with Izabella scoring a cracker top right corner free kick. Although their W-league player slipped in two goals after, I couldn’t be prouder of this team as we fought to the final minute of extra time. As I told our team before, “no matter the result, it will be hard to beat a team that plays for each other” and that is completely backed up by the team’s performance in the finals and the whole competition.
A special mention to our goalkeeper Chloe who was outstanding all night and thank you to Sophie Watson (Year 12) and Wynter O’Regan (Year 12) for your dedication to Pymble Football all these years.
I have no doubt that our future CIS team will be back here next year lifting the trophy!
IGSA Football Finals Weekend
This Saturday is going to be a must-see event. Our Senior Firsts and Junior Firsts will play in the igsa S01 and J01 grand finals that are being held on Pymble’s Main Oval. The Senior Firsts will start proceedings at 8.00am, and the Junior Firsts will follow them at 9.30am. A win for our Pymble 5 and Pymble 6 teams on Saturday will mean they claim their divisions as champions. Please find the schedule below, and best of luck to all our teams for their last game.
