Football
Round 6 of igsa Football was held on Saturday 3 June with Pymble coming away with 7 wins and 4 losses. 55 goals were scored over 11 matches, keeping parents entertained on a foggy Saturday morning. Our Junior Firsts and Senior Firsts played in double header games this weekend. Both teams won their games, which means they are undefeated all term. Each team will play in their respective grand finals!
Pymble 6 remain the only other undefeated team after Pymble 5 lost their first game of the term, however, with one game to go they still sit top of the table (along with Pymble 6). A win in their last game could clinch the division.
Pymble 2 have won their fourth game in a row, an impressive effort considering they are playing against other schools’ Senior Firsts every week.
Our teams have the long weekend off to refresh and will play their last matches on Saturday 17 June. Stay tuned for next week’s newsletter for the final schedule.

Senior First Match Report by our Football Captain, Kaitlyn Chan (Year 12)
Pymble Senior Firsts played their last games of igsa before the finals in the double header round at Loreto Normanhurst. We all knew it was going to be a tough game against Abbotsleigh. A great effort from the team coming away with a 2 to 1 win, with our goal scorers Emily Visser (Year 10) and Jasmin Robinson (Year 11).
Our second game saw us play against our upcoming CIS cup opponents PLC Sydney. With many players resting, we were fortunate enough to have some extra players help us out. Thank you to Aimee Ng (Year 12), Madeleine Short (Year 11), Victoria Apachou (Year 10), Amelia Brandon (Year 9), and Izabella Ziolkowski (Year 10) who all played games prior to playing with the Senior Firsts. The team came away with a great 5 to 1 win to close off our igsa season rounds undefeated.

PLC Sydney equalised four minutes later thanks to their Junior Matilda. Pymble retook the lead seven minutes later with a goal from Sophie Watson (Year 12) and then a goal from Jasmin Robinson (Year 11) took us into halftime with a 3 to 1 lead. In the second half our players came out firing and completed a dominant performance thanks to goals from Madi Gabila (Year 7), Sophie Watson (Year 12), Sophia Grindlay (Year 11), Amber Halliday (Year 11), and Ariana Ziolkowski (Year 9).
