Waratah Shield

Congratulations to our Pymble team, who competed at the Waratah Shield at Easts Rugby Club last Friday. The Waratah W Shield is a 10-a-side rugby competition designed to increase opportunities for schoolgirls to experience all facets of our great game.

Our girls competed against Hills Sports High School, Matraville Sports High School and Arndell Anglican College. After losing the first match to Hills, the girls were able to regroup and win their next two matches to progress to the finals, where they again went to battle against a very strong Hills outfit. Although a closer affair compared to Round 1, unfortunately, we went down in this match. A huge shout-out to Mie Naito (Year 10), who was named player of the match in this grand final.

A great way to round out the season girls! Great job.
