Round 7 of the Invitation Independent Schools Softball Competition took place this past Saturday with both Pymble teams taking part.
It was a morning of mixed emotions for our Pymble Softballers as our Senior Firsts had an untimely loss to Abbotsleigh. The loss for our Seniors meant that they just missed out on a spot in the semi-finals and finished fifth place on the ladder.
Our Junior Firsts beat the undefeated PLC Sydney Juniors and the win cemented their spot in second place and makes them one of the favourites going into the finals.

NSW All Schools Softball Gala Day
Our very own Rhedyn Wong (Year 12) competed for CIS at the NSW All Schools Softball Gala Day on Monday 13 March. Here’s what Rhedyn had to say:
“Last Monday, I had the opportunity to attend the NSW All Schools Softball Gala Day as part of the CIS Softball team. Despite some rain, the day was an awesome opportunity to play teams from both CCC (Combined Catholic Colleges) and CHS (Combined High Schools). This was an invaluable playing experience, and it was great to be able to play with girls from different schools across NSW. Although unfortunately I was not selected for the NSW All Schools team, this was still a really enjoyable day.”
We are all super proud of Rhedyn and her accomplishments in Softball throughout her years here at Pymble.
Farewell to our Seniors!
I couldn’t be prouder of our Seniors for the tremendous term they’ve had. They’ve played with an unbelievable spirit and have had a huge impact on our younger students.
One last big thank you to our Year 12 students for all they’ve contributed to the Pymble softball program. They have left a great legacy behind, and it will be very sad not seeing them take the field again in Term 1, 2024. The Year 12’s leaving us are: Eloise Muller (Softball Captain), Madeleine Coman, Miki Culver, Rhedyn Wong, Sophie Christopher, Sumeera Chabra.
