2024 SMNE Summer Championships
The 2024 SMNE Summer Championships held last weekend at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC) was a truly successful meet. With a team of 39 Pymble Ladies’ College students (including two alumni), and 28 external Pymble swimmers, we are proud to announce that the Knox Pymble Swim Club (KPSC) finished FIRST in the Northern Suburbs point score, winning by a large margin over the second place.
As a coaching team, we were impressed by everyone’s spirit and performance. The bar was set high, with countless personal bests achieved across all levels, a testament to the dedication of our swimmers and coaches alike. A special mention goes to the Mini and Star swimmers for bringing great energy and attitude to their races, thanks in large part to Coach Nicola’s leadership. Congratulations also to our Cadet swimmers on achieving Junior Metro qualifying times in multiple events; your hard work, guided by Coach Sara, is clearly paying off!
The Engine squad had an outstanding performance, with many smashing personal bests, achieving new state age qualifying times, and even securing national qualifying times. The squad’s energy is evident, and Coach Michelle has been instrumental in guiding these swimmers toward senior level athletes. Our Pride girls also deserve a big thank you for their leadership and for inspiring our younger swimmers along their development pathway. Together, we’re learning that with trust and belief, nothing can stop us from reaching our goals.
As always, the relays were a highlight, particularly for our 11/U and 13/U teams, who showed fantastic team spirit and determination to win.
Well done to everyone on a fantastic meet! Let’s keep up the hard work in training as we prepare for the NSW Junior Metropolitan Championship and NSW Senior State Age in the coming weeks.
A big thank you to the club committee and parents/carers for your invaluable support over the weekend, these events wouldn’t be possible without you!
