Farewell concert “Adios” – Friday 15 November

You are warmly invited to the Music Tour Farewell concert, which will be held from 4.30pm in the College Chapel. Following the concert will be the information session from 6.00pm in the Jobson Lecture Theatre (Kate Mason Building). Please note this is the same date as the Dance Showcase and we are aware that some students will be involved in both dance and music.

College Christmas Celebration – Sunday 1 December from 5.00pm

Please save the date for this wonderful event, marking the end of an incredibly busy year. Bring a picnic and sit on Gloucester Lawn whilst being serenaded by our wonderful Jazz musicians from the Junior and Secondary Schools. There may even be a visit from Santa Claus…

At 6.30pm, there will be a service in the Chapel with a musical feast of carols and lessons. Community Carols are made successful with the inclusion of our fabulous community. So, bring your picnics, your voices, and your Christmas Cheer!

Ensembles involved are Piccoline choir, Pizzicato strings, Hindson strings, Junior Jazz, Junior Choir, Capella, Senior Jazz ensemble, Tour stage band, Tour singers, Tour chamber strings, Tour band, Chorale, and Senior choir

  • 2.00pm to 3.00pm CHAPEL: Chorale, tour members, School Choir (rehearse Feliz Navidad, Festive Alleluia)
  • 2.30pm to 3.00pm: School Choir (O Tennenbaum)
  • 2.30pm to 3.30pm OUTDOORS
    • Junior Jazz, Senior Jazz ensemble, Stage Band 
  • 3.00pm to 3.45pm: Chorale/Tour strings (Away in a Manger)
  • 3.45pm to 4.00pm: Tour Strings (Ding Dong/Merrily on High)
  • 4.00pm to 4.40pm: Tour combined (Christmas Festival)
  • 4.40pm: Hindson Strings 
  • 5.00pm: Capella
  • 5.20pm Junior School Choir 
  • 5.40pm Piccoline/Pizzicato 
  • 6.00pm Chapel doors open 

Ensemble rehearsal conclusion times for 2024

Junior School parents have been notified of their final rehearsals.

Secondary School:

The following ensembles will complete rehearsals in Week 6:

  • String Orchestra
  • Middle School Concert Band
  • School Concert Band

All other ensembles will finish with the Carols service/tour.

Musical Buffet

Due to the inability to have all our performers for our Week 6 ensemble concert, some of our groups have provided a musical buffet, performing their repertoire during lunch or as students come in to school. Congratulations to the String Orchestra for performing in the Kate Mason Building on Monday, and then providing a wonderful processional/recessional for the Jacaranda Assembly.
