A message from Victoria Harrison, Head of Upper School

Next week, our Year 10 students head off on a range of Outdoor Education Programs. We are excited for the wonderful opportunities that the girls have to connect with their peers and be challenged (by choice) in the beautiful Australian environment. Thank you to the teaching and outdoor education staff members who are spending time away from school and home to facilitate these programs for Year 10. We look forward to sharing stories about their experiences in the coming weeks.

We are so proud of the 254 Year 9 students who have completed the Vision Valley Residential program this year. This term our Pymble students have been fortunate to share this experience with four students from Milingimbi Island. It has been wonderful seeing the bonds develop between the girls and lifelong memories being made. Completing the residential program is a huge personal achievement for the girls. To have spent an action-packed four weeks living and learning away from home brings unique personal challenges for everyone. Congratulations to all of Year 9 on this special accomplishment.

On Friday, our final honouring ceremony will be held at Vision Valley for the Term 4 group. Each term, this is a very special experience in which the girls share stories of their time at the valley and are reunited with their families. We recommend that where possible, both parents or another significant adult role model attend to honour the rite of passage for your daughter from child to young adult.
