From the Middle School
Last Friday, artist, songwriter and pastor Dave Gungor performed during lunchtime on Gloucester Lawn for students and staff at the College. Our Middle School Students were also lucky enough to participate in a singalong with Dave during their chapel service. During chapel, Dave shared his faith story and adjusted his song lyrics for our students to sing too.

I would like to congratulate all of the girls who have been successful in their application to be leaders in 2025. We have a very strong body of leaders who will represent their peers. Thank you to all students who put themselves forward. The process has underscored the girls’ confidence and diverse skills.

Nicole Fan (Year 8) has won a merit in the Junior Category of the John Locke Institute’s 2024 Global Essay Prize! This is a tremendous achievement, and she was invited to the Awards Ceremony in London, although she was unable to attend.
Nicole has shared the following:
“I chose the Junior Topic: ‘When will advancing technology make most of us unemployable? What should we do about this?’ In August I discovered that I was shortlisted (top 16.9 per cent) and was invited to go to London for the awards ceremony. I didn’t get the chance to go due to still having school. The shortlisted essays went through a third reading and commendations or high commendations were awarded. On the night of the ceremony, I was awarded a merit. I was sent another email where I received my Certificate of Commendation and a scholarship for their summer school in Singapore next month.”
Year 7 will have an opportunity to come together in celebration of the year for their Mind Body Spirit Day at Long Reef Beach on Tuesday 19 November. As part of our wellbeing program, and in conjunction with the PDHPE Stage 4 Curriculum, your daughters will be partaking in a day of surf safety, including learning to surf or bodyboard with Manly Surf School. The day will also include a beautiful coastal walk along the Long Reef headland and rock platform.
Please ensure that you have completed the permission form on MyPymble.
