2024 HSC Drama Showcase

On Tuesday 3 September, we witnessed the exceptional talent of our 2024 Drama cohort in their HSC Showcase. It was a night that not only reflected the remarkable creativity and dedication of these students, but also highlighted the transformative power of theatre. Over the past year, I have had the immense pleasure of guiding this group as they developed an impressive variety of group and individual projects. 

The night’s program was filled with thought-provoking, emotionally charged, and beautifully vulnerable performances. These students did not take the easy way out. Instead, they embraced challenging themes, creating pieces that were not only entertaining but also compelling – encouraging the audience to laugh, cry, and reflect on both themselves and the world around them.

The integrity of live performance is something we deeply value as a school community and the variety of themes explored was testament to the courage of these young artists. As we reflect on the night, it’s clear that these brilliant young women achieved more than just a performance. They offered us a moment of shared experience and a celebration of their years of Pymble Drama. 

We are incredibly proud of their achievements, and their hard work and dedication has been acknowledged with eleven OnSTAGE nominations! More details to follow!
