Scholars’ Concert
Our Scholars performed magnificently to a full house on Wednesday night. I have been talking at length to the girls about humility and being proud of each other as well as themselves. Our world is full of people with enormous egos. The Scholars’ Concert is always a humbling time for staff and students alike.
Our girls display such an enormous level of talent, and it brings me such joy when they are in awe of each other. When a student performs and does their best, they are always aware that someone is going to sound better than them. Our girls acknowledge this and use it to help them to continue to grow as musicians. They are young women embarking on a journey that may or may not take them into a life of Music. All that is needed is to know that they have touched our souls by presenting a work of art that happens to be the sublime nature of music.
Save the Date – Garden Party, Saturday 21 September
Members of the following groups will be performing on the day at various locations around the College. Students are to ensure they are wearing comfortable clothing, not school uniform (hats are recommended as it is often hot), and to bring their music and instruments.

Please be advised that Emirates have informed Hayes Travel Enterprises that all violins and violas must be in shaped cases, not the rectangular ones. If you are struggling to find an option, please see Mrs Turner.
