Spotlight on the Film Class

Guided by the creative expertise of teachers Madi, Tahmara, and Matt, these students are diving deep into the world of filmmaking, blending the art of storytelling with the technical precision of cinema.

Since the beginning of the term, the film classes have been hard at work scripting their original self-devised pieces. This process has allowed them to explore the intricacies of narrative structure, character development, and visual storytelling. Each student has contributed their unique voice to the script, resulting in a collaborative story that reflects their collective creativity and vision. Students have had a hands-on approach using film, sound, and lighting equipment to develop the technical skills needed for filmmaking but also the importance of teamwork, patience, and attention to detail.

The culmination of their hard work will be showcased at Centre Stage Behind the Mask, where their film will be presented to the school community on Monday 25 November in the Drama Theatre. I am incredibly proud of the dedication and passion shown by our film students and their teachers.
