Athletics and Cross Country

igsa Athletics

Last Thursday, three Pymble students competed in the 1500m at the final igsa twilight meet. This event was postponed the week before due to lightening, and our girls were excited to start Pymble‘s title defence on the front foot.  

Well done to the below girls who ran an incredible race:

Eliza Lawton (Year 8)

1st             12 to 14 Years

Gemma Dixon (Year 8)

6th             15 to 16 Years (running up an age group, well done Gemma!)

Sarah Baker (Year 12)

2nd                        17 to 18 Years

This Thursday evening, we have 14 girls competing in the hurdles and 800m. We wish these students the best of luck! Many of these girls will then rejoin the remainder of the team back at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre the next day for the final day of competition.

We are so proud of our Pymble Athletics team, and we look forward to seeing them reap the benefits of all their hard work throughout the year.
