Pymble Parents win the Great Hope Regatta

Over the last few weeks, parents of Pymble rowers have been training under the guidance of coaches Mr Randell, Mr Booker and Mr Gray. Three crews of Eight were entered to compete against rowing parents from other schools on Sunday 26 May, at the Great Hope Regatta. This experience allowed parents to connect and learn more about their daughter’s experience on the water.

Pymble organised a Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Eight to enter. The Mixed Eight and Women’s Eight both came second in the C and B Final respectively, including the Women’s Eight achieving the status of the fastest women’s crew in the entire regatta. The Men’s crew progressed to the A-Final and took Pymble’s first gold since the regatta’s inception in 2007.

A big congratulations to all parents and students that took part. Thank you to the parents that gave generously to the program to take part in this experience. Pymble aims to enter more crews next year hoping to make it two in a row and win the Trophy again!
