Round 5 of the IGSA football season took place on Saturday 1 June with all 14 of our Pymble teams competing. It was also Pymble’s First Nations Round of Sport, which Pymble holds annually during Reconciliation Week.

Our Senior First team won 1 to 0 against Abbotsleigh to make it four wins from four games. In our tightest game so far this term, the Abbotsleigh goalkeeper made it very hard for Pymble to score.

Our Junior First team won 5 to 0 against Queenwood, also making four wins from four games.

Our Year 7 First team had a solid 2 to 0 win against Queenwood.  The team remain undefeated setting up a Semi-final match against PLC Sydney.

In other results, our Pymble teams had tight clashes with other schools resulting in draws or losses by only a goal or two. Pymble 7 recorded back-to-back wins, putting them in contention for a Grand-final opportunity at the end of the season.

Every week, our Pymble students always give 100 per cent despite the result and this a testament to their determination, courage and resilience.
