Olympic Pathway Launch

It was a wonderful opportunity at the Olympic Pathways launch on Saturday, for students to share time with Olympians and Pymble alumni, Brittany O’Brien (Rio 2016- Diving) and Danielle Scott (Sochi 2014 – Freestyle Skiing), who both started diving at Pymble in Year 4. Such an inspiration that these former students have continued their journey after leaving Pymble and inspire and motivate younger generations to achieve their dreams.

CIS Secondary Diving Championships

CIS Diving Championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday 7 May.

Congratulations to our team of Pymble divers. The CIS Diving Championships is a very competitive event with a high standard of diving. Diving competitions are very challenging as it only takes a small mishap to significantly change the results on a day to day, event to event basis. This is the exciting challenge of competitive sport and keeps the motivation for our students to strive for their individual best.

Congratulations to all divers for their continued motivation to strive for the highest and their outstanding commitment in this high level of competition.

Well done to students on the following excellent results:

Mèa Shires (Year 10)
1st 15 Years Springboard and Qualified for All Schools.

Leila Rich (Year 9)

Sasha Dubrovina (Year 8)

Lilian Ahlenstiel (Year 7)

Congratulations to our external Diving Connection divers who also competed and qualified for All Schools.

Level 2 Coaching Course

On Saturday 4 May and Sunday 5 May, Pymble Ladies’ College hosted a Level 2 Coaching course organised by Diving NSW and led by the National Coaching Director, Mike Martins. The course provided coaches with the opportunity to refine their craft and divers the expertise of Level 2 coaches for a weekend of extra special coaching.

It was a wonderful opportunity for divers from NSW to make use of the spectacular facilities that Pymble provides in both the pool and dryland.

Thank you to all those divers who volunteered to participate in this quality program.

PSSA Championships and SSA trials

The PSSA Championships will be held on Wednesday 15 May. Results from this event will be published next week. We wish all Pymble divers competing the very best in diving for this competition.
