The Addams Family

The Addams Family musical became a Pymble (Addams) Family over the course of six weeks. Beginning with boot camp on Monday 22 January, a group of young thespians and musicians came together under the direction of Mr Schweinberger to turn an idea into a reality in six weeks!

Every Sunday and Wednesday afternoon, our Pymble actors and musicians spent time together, learning songs and choreography, each student bringing a unique character to bring to stage.

It was a joyous opening evening on Thursday 9 March with adrenaline pumping, nerves heightened, and voices soaring. Mr Schweinberger and I were immensely proud of all members of the cast, crew and orchestra and thank them for their dedication and time.

Whilst we now go through the post-production blues and return to our everyday lives, I’d like to take a moment to thank our “behind the seams” mums, Gillian Taylor and Maribel Matthews – the costumes came to life under your creative hands.

To the Music Support Group who provided food during interval, flowers for the members of the cast, orchestra and crew, decorations in the foyer, and dinner for the staff – THANK YOU. We have brilliant staff at Pymble and I’d like to thank Mrs Goodman as Musical Director, Mr Stafford as lead trumpeter, Ms Ashton for portrait fly ins and safety on stage, Ms Buckley as keys 2 extraordinaire, the theatre staff for keeping us all sane, and Mr Meagher for ensuring we made it to the end.

It takes a village to raise our children and every person did an exceptional job.

Secondary School Ensemble Concert

The Secondary School Ensemble Concert will be held on Wednesday 10 April from 5.30pm on Gloucester Lawn. Bring a picnic dinner and drinks and enjoy the wonderous sounds of the Secondary School ensembles under the magnificent vista of the Pymble gardens and Chapel. All students must wear the NEW performance uniform. Please ensure you have purchased this from the Uniform Shop.
