Badminton
On Saturday 24 February, a total of 21 wins and 14 losses were achieved for our Pymble badminton teams.
Angelina Lee (Year 12), Captain of Badminton, gives us an insight on what it was like for Pymble 2 on the weekend versing Loreto Normanhurst:
“Pymble 2 had a very exciting Round 3 held at Loreto Normanhurst. As a team we always look forward to our Saturday matches because it gives us the opportunity to practice the skills taught by our coaches during training sessions. Saturday games always lay out a friendly atmosphere for badminton players to catch up with each other and make new friends as we all share a common interest that is badminton. As for our game, we were very excited to get a clean sweep winning 5 to 0 against Loreto Normanhurst.
Today’s game was incredibly thrilling as our second doubles was a very close game – Pymble securing the win by a close 22 to 20. The match also brought out Pymble perseverance and tenacity, with our final singles player made an amazing comeback, taking the lead halfway through the match and ultimately winning their game.
A special thanks to Jess who was our supervising coach at Loreto Normanhurst providing us with strategy tips and reassurance throughout the game.”
