Cricket
Our Pymble cricketers played under beautiful sunny skies for the first round of Pymble Cricket. Our Pymble 1 side competed against St Ives Campbell at Warimoo Oval. Special mention for the following cricketers:
Shereen Jawaad (Year 8), Dezi Magann to Jones (Year 11), Olivia Pragassen (Year 8), Miesha Gal (Year 8) and Sheryl Alexander (Year 8) who all contributed to the run score. Miesha Gal (Year 8) was lethal with the ball achieving a wicket. Coach Kinjal also praised the overall bowling of all students. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to secure the win for Pymble 1 with St Ives eventually reaching our total.
Pymble 2 took the pitch against a strong Lindfield team, and, with Pymble grit and determination, the team battled through to the end. Every player in Pymble 2 managed to secure runs which is an amazing effort.
Well done to Ashira Fonseka (Year 8), Cordelia Curtin (Year 7), Evija King (Year 7), Annika Sriram (Year 8) and Aarna Singh (Year 7) who added to the overall total! Great effort! Lindfield were too strong on the day and surpassed the Pymble total to take the win.
We wish our Pymble cricketers good luck for Round 2!
