Pymble Ladies’ College/Kings/RNSW and igsa Regatta
The Pymble Rowing Team took on a double header weekend at the Sydney International Regatta Centre on Saturday 3 February and Sunday 4 February, coming away with 25 podium finishes from 36 race starts. This included an incredible 14 gold, seven silver and four bronze medals, finishing 3rd place for the overall point score. All Pymble crews performed well and showed significant improvement from Term 4 racing.
The Senior 1st Eight continues to progress closer towards the top spot, finding a strong mid-race rhythm and coming within four seconds on Saturday 3 February. The Senior 2nd Eight raced fiercely on Sunday to become 2024 igsa champions, getting out in front early and consolidating the win through the middle section of the course. Congratulations to Mathilde Goddard (Year 11), Annabel Shanahan (Year 11), Skye Pockley (Year 12), Isabella Stalley (Year 11), Catherine Walker (Year 12), Celeste McDermott (Year 11), Lauren Gibson (Year 11), Isabel Matosantos (Year 12), Alice Anand (Year 11) and coach Mr Booker.
The Senior Quads raced well and took away a 2nd place finish at igsa. Our Pymble Year 10 Four and Quad both improved on Saturday 3 February to win their races at igsa by a clear margin. Congratulations to Mia Solomons (Year 10), Zoe Hart (Year 10), Arabella Murphy (Year 10), Caitlyn Bilney (Year 10), Sara Khan (Year 10), Ainhoa Culazzo (Year 9), Anais McDonald (Year 10), Ella Willetts (Year 10), Holly Hogan (Year 10), Joanna Karelas (Year 10) and coaches Mr Foxton and Mr Tainsh.
Year 8 and 9 Quads continue to be a dominant force on the course, producing excellent performances on both days. In total, four crews became igsa Champions. Well done to:

Congratulations to all crews that raced this weekend with Pymble grit, courage and determination. The spirit that the team showed on and off the water to support each other and enjoy the experience was certainly best on ground from all schools – Go Pymble!
