Language Arts Picnic Day 

Thanks to all who supported our Language Arts picnic on Tuesday 7 November on Gloucester Lawn. Thanks to our Captains and Language Arts Parent Support team for all your assistance in making this a reality! We raised over $600 for Debating workshops. 

International Debating Championships (IDC) 

We have now reached the finals of IDC this Friday. Teams will be notified if through. We are still awaiting notification. 

Social Debating classes 

Our Social debaters visited Abbotsleigh recently for some fun, social debates. Well done to all Debaters, especially those who spoke in their first interschool debate. Thanks to our adjudicators and to the older students who supported the Juniors. 

Model United Nations (MUN) 

Please note that an LA coach will be available this Thursday to escort students to and supervise students at KMUN. Please note that students are to be picked up from Knox.  

Pymble Model UN runs in DK05 and DK06 every Monday lunch time – all we welcome.

Pymble MUN Tour 

We have had a wonderful response to expressions of interest for the January 2025 Language Arts tour to London, Bruges, Amsterdam and The Hague. We plan to attend THIMUN at The Hague. Details can still be obtained from Travel@Pymblelc.nsw.edu.au 

THIMUN application letters were due this week.  

UN Voice of Youth Public Speaking 

Pymble hosted a heat on Friday 20 October. Results have been emailed to students. Congratulations to students who are through to the next round. 

Secondary School Debating Auditions 

Thank you to the many Year 6 students from outside schools who auditioned following Links Day. 

Pymble Year 6 to 11 auditions, sincere apologies for any confusion caused by revised audition dates. 

Auditions will take place from 3.30pm to 5.15pm in the Colonnade classrooms. Please bring pens and paper/palm cards and your afternoon tea and meet in C10. 

2024 Year 8: Wednesday 15 November 

2024 Year 8: Thursday 16 November 

2024 Year 12: Friday 17 November 

2024 Year 9: Wednesday 22 November 

2024 Year 10: Thursday 23 November 

2024 Year 11: Friday 24 November 

2024 Year 7: Tuesday 21 November. Please meet in the Junior School Library after school and you will be escorted to C10. You will need pens/paper and a water bottle and packed afternoon tea. 

Make up auditions and call backs will commence on the week commencing 27 November. Students needed for call backs will be emailed.
