Our 2023 Cricket season commenced on Saturday with both our Pymble 1 and Pymble 2 teams taking on West Pennant Hills Cricket Club in their annual Pink Stumps Day.

Our Pymble 1 team scored a total of 25 runs. Well done to Abani Dhaliwal (Year 8), Alice Mao (Year 9), Phoebe Cooper (Year 10), Brielle McDonald (Year 8) and Anjali Shah (Year 8) who all contributed to the run score.

An outstanding performance from Phoebe Cooper (Year 10) who got 5 wickets! An incredible achievement from Phoebe. A special mention to both Sophie Webster (Year 8) and Charlotte Henderson (Year 9) who also took one wicket each.

Pennant Hills were too strong and surpassed our score for the day.

Pymble 2 came up against another strong outfit. Special mentions to Shereen Jawaad (Year 7), Indigo Meldrum (Year 7) and Sheryl Alexander who all added to the Pymble run total.

In the bowling attack Tia Pillai (Year 7) and Miesha Gal (Year 7) both took wickets to halt the opposition run chase. Unfortunately, this was not enough, and our total was again surpassed.

Overall, a promising start and plenty to work on this week before we take the pitch for Round 2.
