Uniform

The start of the school year is an opportunity to re-establish standards and expectations regarding uniform and appearance. Uniform rules can be found in the Student Diary. Whilst uniform rules remain unchanged, I would like to draw your attention to particular elements:

Hair: Must be clean, neat and groomed. If long, it must be tied back and out of the face [please note: mullets are not permitted – students attending school with a mullet will likely be sent home on day one]. Hair colour should be natural and not be a significant change from previously.

Students must be clean shaven.

Earrings: Girls are permitted to wear only one sleeper or plain stud in each earlobe. All other piercings must be removed.

Skirts/dresses: Hems must be to the knee. These may need to be adjusted at the beginning of the school year.

Socks: Boys must wear their socks up. They should be of sufficient length to be folded to just below the knee.

Blazers: Students must wear (or carry, if hot) their blazer to/from school, when on public transport and when in town. They should have their blazer at school every day.

PE Uniform: should be worn correctly and not mixed with forms of College uniform.

Students attending Saturday sport matches who are not playing must wear school or PE uniform. Students have the option to wear sports uniform on Thursdays. Students are to arrive at school on all other days in full school uniform, unless they have a practical PE lesson in Period 1.

Student Timetables

All students can access their timetable via a link to EDVAL. The students will be emailed a web code to their school email address which will allow them to access the 2026 timetable. The timetable is still being finalised and there may be minor changes in Week 1 as necessary.

Student Technology at Oxley

Student Technology at Oxley

From 2026 Oxley College is moving to a School Managed Device (SMD) model with Apple-based devices.  For years 6-12, the SMD model will comprise of a choice of either a school-owned and school-managed device, or a parent-supplied, school-managed device.

It is important to note that from 2028 onwards, all students (except for the current Year 9 2025 cohort, who will be in Year 12 in 2028) will have school-owned, or parent-supplied School Managed Devices.

Families were asked to choose from one of the following options for 2026.

Students who have chosen Option 1a, 1b, or 1c:

All school managed devices, both school-owned and parent-owned (that have been delivered to the school) will be available for students on their first day back.

If you have a parent-owned device that you wish to be school-managed and have not delivered to school yet, please contact the ICT department at studentonboarding@oxley.nsw.edu.au to arrange a delivery time.

Students who have chosen Option 2: BYOD:

Onboarding information will be sent out to parents via studentonboarding@oxley.nsw.edu.au. Please follow the onboarding steps on the Oxley College Onboarding website before Welcome Day. If you have any issues please contact the ICT Department at studentonboarding@oxley.nsw.edu.au.

Option 1: School Managed Device (either School-Owned, or Parent-Supplied)

Option 1(a): School-Owned Device

  • This is available to students in Years 6-12 2026 only.
  • Students will be provided with a school-owned Apple MacBook Air M4 with 16GB Ram and 256GB memory, or a school-owned iPad 11 (128GB). *iPad available to students in Year 6 only.
  • Specific software (apps) will be installed on the device and will ensure year/age specific internet filters are active. Please note, whilst the device management internet filtering and software restrictions are active 24/7, the school will only monitor the devices during normal school hours.
  • Students will use their Oxley email address as their Apple ID and app downloads will be restricted to school-approved apps only.
  • A levy will be applied to manage these devices.  The levy will be added to school fees and is $480 per year for an iPad and $600 per year for a MacBook.
  • Repairs & Support – For School-Owned devices the student will drop the faulty device off at the Oxley Helpdesk. They will be given a new device, and this device will be associated with them. Oxley Helpdesk will then send the device to EduCom IT who will manage all Apple repairs end-to-end. Depending on how the device is broken, Oxley will invoice the parents for the physical repair cost under AppleCare+ pricing.
  • Devices will be available for collection at Welcome Day, Thursday 29 January 2026 or for existing students on Friday 30 January 2026.

Option 1(b): Parent-Supplied New Device

  • This is available to students in Years 6-12 2026 only.
  • Parents will need to purchase an Apple MacBook Air M4 with 16GB Ram and 256GB memory, or an iPad 11 (128GB).
  • Oxley recommends purchasing an Apple device from our Apple authorised reseller EduCom IT.  Please visit https://www.educomit.com.au/oxley for the specified devices. Devices purchased from EduCom IT will be directly entered into the Oxley School Managed Device (SMD) system.  Devices purchased through EduCom can also be delivered directly to Oxley College.  If you would like the device sent to Oxley, please include this in the notes section when you check out.
  • There is no levy for this option.
  • Repairs & Support – Students can drop their devices off at the Oxley IT Helpdesk and be issued with a replacement device for the duration of the repair. EduCom IT will review the device and work directly with you, the parents to repair or replace, depending on warranty, AppleCare+ status, and the age of the device. Once repaired, the device will be returned to the school and the student will swap the devices back. Oxley highly recommends that families purchase AppleCare+ for Parent Supplied Devices, as this will significantly reduce repair costs.

Option 1(c): Parent-Supplied Existing Device

  • This is available to students in Years 6-12 2026 only.
  • Parents will need to supply an Apple MacBook Air (M1-M5), or an iPad 11 (128GB). *iPad available to students in Year 6 only.

The Oxley Canteen

The Oxley Canteen

The Oxley College Canteen is committed to providing fresh, interesting, nutritious food for the entire school community. We are guided by the recommendations of the state government’s Healthy School Canteen Strategy: “Fresh Tastes at School”.

The majority of food for sale at the canteen is prepared and cooked on site. We use fresh vegetables and fruit, lean meat and chicken, free-range eggs and fresh local bakery products. We regularly provide vegetarian and gluten-free meals and do not use nuts or nut products in the canteen. Ongoing offerings for lunches include toasted panini, sandwiches, salads, soups, pastas.

Junior School students must bring their recess from home but may order their lunch from the canteen. There is currently no provision for K-6 students to purchase food across the counter at recess or lunchtime.

Senior School students may purchase items over the counter.

We are partnered with Flexischools who to provide an online ordering service for the whole school. Students in Years 7-12 are also issued with a Flexischools cashless card which can be used at the Canteen once it has been linked to a Flexischools account.

We encourage all parents to set up an account with Flexischools to experience the quick and easy way to order your child’s lunch. You can even order for the whole term and then cancel any days not required.

The first step is to register and create an online account. You will receive a confirmation email which then directs you to the Oxley College Canteen page. Set up your individual children’s details then go ahead and order. Orders must be received by 9.00am on the day. Similarly, cancellations must be made by 9.00am.

If your child has been issued with a student card you will need to link the card number to your account before it can be used at the canteen.

Ordering for Junior School students:

  • Please use the Flexischools system
  • Lunch orders are returned to P-6 in crates and distributed by the classroom teacher.
  • Should your child’s lunch be spilled or otherwise rendered inedible, a replacement lunch will happily be supplied and you will be notified. Prompt payment is appreciated.

Ordering for Senior School students:

  • Please use the Flexischools system
  • Orders are collected from The Pavilion (The Oxley Canteen)
