Who will be her maid?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we look up at the stars,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If each sky was the same<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019d forever be apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019d be no North Star to guide us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No Southern Cross to love,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No Orion with his belt,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That we look to up above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sun rises soon enough,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then my ears hear shouts and screams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banners, chants, signs and posters<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fill our dreary streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soon she catches on,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then they all are crushed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But one thing I have learned,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They always seem to get back up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I go back to her palace,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where I am safe from harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The anger in my restless mind<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Settles into calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I look around her royal staff,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their faces blank and clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They haven\u2019t seen the outside world,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They stay here out of fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Someone must take her down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That someone will be me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know it seems quite daunting,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it\u2019s easy now, you see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She sits atop the Parthenon,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Held up by many pillars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without supporters she will crumble,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
