Dear Parents and Carers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transport and our bus operators provide a range of school bus services for student travel during the school term. These services operate in alignment with the gazetted term dates set by the Department of Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For next year, the Department of Education has gazetted\u00a026 January 2026<\/strong>, to start Term 1. Noting that this date is a public holiday,\u00a0school bus services will resume as normal on Tuesday, 27 January 2026.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These arrangements also apply to trips and deviations on regular bus routes which are only timetabled to operate during school term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage you to please remind your school community to plan ahead <\/strong>on Trip Planner <\/a> before travelling.  Further information is available at School Bus Services<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From mid-January 2026<\/strong>, you can use Trip Planner <\/a>to plan trips that include school services.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure school services appear as a travel option for students, click \u2018refine\u2019 and select the \u2018school bus\u2019 option. Students are reminded to tap on and off on all trips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting to and from school can also be an adventure. It’s a chance to leave the car at home and enjoy a relaxing walk, with time to talk or go on a fun bike ride and burn up some energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
