Technical and Applied Studies Faculty – Ellouise Bernie
Students from Year 11 Textiles and Design attended the TEXstyle exhibition and workshop at Gallery 76, Concord West, to learn about the Textiles and Design Major Project. This event showcases excellence and provides opportunities for students and teachers to engage with exemplary work samples and deepen teaching practice to drive improved student outcomes. The 2025 exhibition features 38 Major Textiles Projects selected from approximately 1,697 submitted across NSW for the 2024 HSC. The displays include furnishings, apparel, textile art and costume. The major project is a highly valued component of Technology subjects, allowing students the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their depth of understanding and skills in the application of knowledge. For the HSC Course, Textiles and Design students undertake a Major Textiles Project worth 50% of the HSC Mark. |
