Let us take time to remember the life and teachings of Saint Oscar Romero. His many lessons include: live a simple life, commit to bringing peace to the world, speak the truth and of course aspire not to have more, but to be more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Thank you for supporting Caritas Australia\u2019s Project Compassion Campaign. Your generosity will work for the freedom of those living in poverty, challenge unjust structures, and empower people to work for a sustainable way of life. <\/span><\/p>\n A very special thank you to Mrs Kathryn Della Vedova, whose family donated over 75 jars of their homemade honey to be sold, with proceeds going to Project Compassion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As a community we often take time to focus on our Catholic faith and how we can be advocates for goodness in the world. In this spirit, the Marists in Action group have organised to have a Social Justice Week, Term 2, Week 1. <\/span><\/p>\n Upon returning from the holidays, this will be an opportunity for students to learn more about ethical issues in our world. This year\u2019s focus is how to be a \u2018Conscious Consumer\u2019 and choose products that are ethically sourced. Each lunchtime during the week, there will be activities students can take part in!<\/span><\/p>\n This term, Marists in Action ran a competition to design a logo that will represent the group.\u00a0<\/span>Well done to all students who entered the competition, the designs were all wonderful representations of our Catholic faith and Marist charism.
