The UAC Community Engagement team would like to highlight a few key points:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The majority of HSC students receive offers based on their ATAR and the hard work they have put into their Year 12 studies.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Although Early Entry applications offer a sense of security, there are benefits in applying through UAC compared to applying directly to an institution for an early offer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Not all courses are available for early offers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An early offer is not guaranteed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A UAC application provides more options for preferences.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students who have experienced difficulties\/disadvantages in Year 11 or 12 can have their circumstances taken into account through an EAS application.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Listing preferences on a UAC application<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students should always:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">place their dream course as their first preference<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">include a back-up course as a lower preference<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students should also find out:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the previous lowest selection ranks for the course \u2013 is it a realistic choice?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">if they are eligible for any adjustment factors.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>UAC Application key dates:<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">18 September: \u00a0 \u00a0 SRS (Schools Recommendation Scheme) applications close (11.59pm)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">29 September: \u00a0 \u00a0 Early Bird application deadline (11.59pm).\u00a0 Early Bird fee is $78 whereas\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the Standard Fee<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(applications submitted after 23 September) is $215.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 November:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Change of preferences close for first SRS offers (11.59pm)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">10 November:<\/span><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">November Round 1\/SRS offers released (7.30am)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">23rd November:\u00a0 \u00a0EAS (Educational Access Scheme) deadline<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">14th December:\u00a0 \u00a0 ATARs released on UAC website at 9.00am<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 EAS Round 1 offers released<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">15th December:\u00a0 \u00a0 Change of course preferences deadline (11.59pm)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">21st December:\u00a0 \u00a0 Main Round offers released (7.30am)<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Need to speak to someone?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">UAC\u2019s friendly and helpful customer service team is available to take calls on (02) 9752 0200 Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
