Year 9 Reflection Day<\/b><\/h4>\n

They reflected on how they could be called to respond and say \u2018yes\u2019 to other acts of service within their community. Students had the opportunity to listen to Ms Vu\u2019s testimony about her pilgrimages from World Youth Day and Ms Clarke\u2019s stories on the Cambodia Immersion and Marist Sony Camp. The day consisted of fun icebreakers, small group discussions, a liturgy and packing toiletry bags for St Vincent de Paul in preparation for Christmas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Below are some of the highlights from students:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHearing the stories about the less fortunate made me think of how lucky we are.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI became more aware of the power of saying \u2018yes\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI learnt about how I can involve myself more in my community through activities and programs that MSCW and other schools offer.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cPacking the bags for Vinnies made me empathise more with the less fortunate. I feel grateful for what I have.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Students were involved in their Reflection Day on Monday, 28th of November.
