What are their thoughts about Newman?<\/span><\/p>\n

What are you enjoying?<\/b><\/h5>\n

\u201cEnglish is fun because we get to do novel studies and film studies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMaths is challenging!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDoing lots of different sports each term.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI get to be creative in art,\u00a0 music, IDEAS, PDHPE and English.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI dance every Tuesday morning before school, which I love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cScience because the concepts challenge me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am in Bel Canto and dance which I love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI like how we get to do things in detail.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cScience club is great!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI love the connection with my classmates.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe mix between independent work and collaborative learning.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

How are you coping with the assessment tasks?<\/b><\/h5>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve coped well, some are challenging but I just try my hardest.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had to learn how to organise my time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI start my planning early.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI struggled at the beginning but I have grown to understand how and what they are.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you like about being in the Newman Programme?<\/b><\/h5>\n

\u201cI like being challenged with questions for deeper thinking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI like my brain being challenged.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI like how I have learnt new vocabulary and have made new friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI like that we get harder challenges rather than just normal work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have similar knowledge.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt challenges me to work to the best of my ability.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What about friendships?<\/b><\/h5>\n

\u201cEveryone in the class is really nice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI have friends in class but other friends from primary school at recess and lunch.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn tutor group I sit with other Year 7 students from different classes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI get to sit with Yr 8 and 9 in tutor time and they are really nice to me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
