Social Justice Sunday <\/b>is observed every year on the final Sunday of August. This year’s commemoration falls on August 28. The Catholic Church in Australia has a long tradition of commemorating Social Justice Sunday. The Catholic Bishops have issued an annual Social Justice Statement practically every year since 1940.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year the statement <\/span>Respect: Confronting Violence and Abuse<\/span><\/a> points out that the roots of domestic and family violence \u201clie in the abuse of power to control and dominate others\u201d and that \u201cthis stands in contrast to the relationships to which God calls us\u201d. Year 11 Reflection Day<\/b><\/h4>\n

The Year 11 Reflection Day celebrated the theme Sisters in Faith Sisters for Life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
